Marie Journet 1863 by Pineberry Lane

A beautiful reproduction sampler, originally done by Marie in 1863. The mid-section translates to: Made by Marie Journet aged 5 years on June 6, Vienne, Department of Isere, 1863". Vienne is a city in southeastern France. I think it is particularly skillful that she was able to stitch her last name with all of the letters backwards, around the birds!
